Trash Culture are headlining for two reasons. 1) they deserve to cos they’re freakin’ great and 2) not many bands could follow them. Playing after them would be like successfully jerkin’
off in a preheated oven without sweating. It simply wouldn’t work for a number of reasons and you’d look stupid even trying. Cunha and the lads have been tearin’ it up in venues all over London and beyond for a while now. I don’t know one single person that’s watched them live and hasn’t been impressed. IF there’s anyone out there that hasn’t been impressed then I pity those fools for they are the sort of people that attempt to jerk off in ovens. You know when you work with people that aren’t hip to your shit and they say “ Oooh, I thought punk rock died in the 70’s?” Well, next time before you eye roll them, tell them to go watch or listen to Trash Culture. That’ll show those bozo’s. The songs? These fellas play like their instruments are on fire – thrashin’ and bashin’ to put out the flames. Singing about frustration, alienation and the mundane jobs they’re forced to work through before entertaining you. Trash Culture don’t play for fame or money. They play because if they didn’t they’d probably kill you.

CHINESE JUNK
Bringin’ second rate to the front line, it’s everybody’s ( and nobody’s) favourite pound shop rockers, Chinese Junk. They spent less money recording their junkola than you’ll spend getting’ to the show. But Ben Nuthink, Steve Legend and Mat Random don’t just settle with any old crap, a bargain is a bargain and it’s cool crap-a-go-go every time these cats play. You’ll watch them play their trashy and butchered version of rock and roll and wish you could write songs that good. A true market job Ramones. Don’t believe the hype?! Go ask Greg Lowery, Eric Davidson or Donny Triplecheese. “RTP! Gonna RTP! YEAH!”

THE SPIKE DIRECTION EFFECT
There’s somethin’ about that Medway River that slops and stinks it’s way into the bands down there. TSDE lead crooner Rob and his boys hone their skills in his garden shed. When that cold Kent rain comes through the holes in the roof they play the blues : “CRY ME A (MEDWAY) RIVER BABY, I’M A HURTIN’ A WHA WHA WHOOO!” When the rain stops and the sun comes out, they get drunk on moonshine and punk it up with their underdog trash and Medway Deltabilly.
Buy these lads a tin of beans to eat cold on the way home and they’ll fight over it like Chatham chavs quicker than you can say “ Don’t be so (Billy) childish”.

Hailing from Oysterville, Whitstable, The Nudie Pics are more than just a cool band name. They’re too cool for guitars and if Adam and Sam don’t need any of that six string nonsense then nor do you. Watch ‘em strip the rock and roll down to the bare bones – primitive drummin’ and fuzzed up bassin’. That’s why they call it the rhythm section, kids! UH! Uh! UH! They’ll bang, slide and slop you the two minute thrillers like an Amsterdam peep show. Imagine Thee Mighty Caesars and The Cramps teaming up minus the guitars to serenade us with sordid and sweaty tales of getting beaten up, shaggin’ and old school porno movies.
